Navarre-Area Repeater
The ECARA maintains a UHF repeater that was originally sponsored by South Santa Rosa CERT team. It uses the call sign of K4ECR.
The antenna is perched 150 feet in the air on a water tower in Navarre. Space for the antenna was graciously donated by Holley-Navarre Water System and the antenna and installation was donated by CES TeamOne Communications. Space for the repeater equipment was donated by Santa Rosa County EMA.
The K4ECR repeater is a Yaesu Fusion DR-1X capable of both analog and digital communications and features a severe weather warning system as well as battery back-up. It also has WIRES-X capability. This repeater is open to all duly licensed amateur radio operators. However, Santa Rosa county CERT events may occasionally take precedence over regular repeater traffic. If this occurs, we ask that you be understanding and use the repeater another time.
